Carlos Eduardo

Hi, my name is Carlos Eduardo da Silva Freitas, I'm 24 years and I live in Parnamirim. I met the Bachelor of Science and Technology (BCT) when I was studying in a Preparatory Course to enter in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Thereafter, I chose to study this one and nowadays my real goal is to be an engineer. Today, I know that my choice in studying Science and Technology was a great deal and I’m pretty confident about this way. But, unfortunately, I still don’t know which engineering I intend to do as the subsequent course of BCT.

Rodrigo Ferreira

My name is Rodrigo Ferreira Domingues and I am 27 years old. I was born in city of Rio de Janeiro and I arrived in Natal in 2000 because my father’s job. I like city of Natal because it has beautiful landscapes. Its beaches are very good. However, this city needs to get better in some aspects, like the situation of its streets and the services offered by local establishments, which are bad. Despite that, Natal is the city where I want to live. 

I was formed in Environmental Technology by CEFET-RN, and I have worked in my sector for 5 years, specifically with environmental licensing.
When I have free time I enjoy going to movies, reading a good book, chatting with friends, listening to music, drawing and playing football. I am an easygoing person, very calm and understandable.
Currently, I course “BC&T”, a graduation of the UFRN. I chose this course because it gives opportunity of going to engineering and being able to choose various segments. This characteristic supports the choice of a profession that is in good demand in the market. I hope you enjoy the site, which was done with great zeal.

Daniel Henrique

Hi, my name is Daniel Henrique Silva Fernandes. I’m a 19-year-old student of Science and Technology at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Next semester I’ll be able to choose one of many engineering courses offered, which will be my field of specialization. Although I’m not sure of which engineering degree I want to do, my favorites are Computer Engineering and Mechanical engineering for different reasons and talents that I have. 
I always knew that I would study something in the technological area, because I think that I have some natural talent in this area, especially in the part of studies of Mathematic. Hence, I see the importance of the English language in my life, because lots of interesting things are made in English like music, movies, sites and texts around the world.
Personally, I am a reserved guy, who make few, but awesome, friends. Sometimes I like to be alone just to relax. One thing that I love to do is watch some good movies of all kinds like Million Dollar Girl, Pulp Fiction, 500 Days of Summer, Lion King and etc. Also, I like to practice some sports like boxing and Muay Thai, and read some action comics like “Watchmen” that is considered the best action comic of all time.
My main goal is my degree in some engineering and to follow a success career. Later, I’d like to travel to some interesting countries, like Netherlands and Australia that attractive me for their styles.

Maquiladora Industries

Maquiladora Industries are companies responsible for assembling products with the use of parts and components, which are imported from their foreign parent company for, after the assembly process, the final product be exported. Usually, these companies are located in underdeveloped countries, like Mexico, China, Thailand and Singapure because their man work is cheaper.

Maquiladora Industries work in various segments like: automotive, for example Honda, General Motors and Ford; of computers and stereo systems including Sony, Samsung, Philips and General Electric; and sporting goods as Nike, Adidas and Reebok, among others.

Indústrias maquiladoras são empresas responsáveis pela montagem de produtos com uso de peças e componentes, os quais são importados de suas matrizes estrangeiras para, após o processo de montagem, haver uma exportação do produto final para o país de origem da matriz ou para outros países. Essas empresas geralmente são localizadas em países subdesenvolvidos, tais como México, China, Tailândia e Singapura, visto que fazem uso de mão-de-obra mais barata.

As indústrias maquiladoras operam em diversos segmentos, tais como: no automotivo, entre as quais estão a Honda, a General Motors e a Ford; de computadores e aparelhos de som, nas quais figuram a Sony, a Samsung, a Philips e a General Eletric; e de artigos esportivos, nas quais se destacam a Nike, a Adidas e a Reebok, entre outras.

Understanding Newton’s Law

In the past, people believed that the universe was controlled by gods. Today, we know that the nature phenomena can be described by laws. Isaac Newton developed three laws after a careful study of the objects reaction to force and motion. The law of Inertia states that an object keeps in its state unless a force acts upon it. Hence, if an object is moving, it keeps in the same direction and speed. The law of motion mentions that “the net force of an object is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by its acceleration.” Finally, the law of force pairs specifies that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This Newton’s third law is only applied when at least two objects are involved. The Newton’s laws were useful for helping other scientists to be able to develop more advanced technologies and tools.

Leonardo Pinheiro

Well, my name is Leonardo Pinheiro Fernandes and I’m 18 years old. I live in a countryside of Rio Grande do Norte known as Pedro Velho and it’s 85 km from Natal. I prefer country life as opposed to city life because as well as security, the country life is healthier. I love music, although I’m not a musician. I think I will be a musician someday. The style of music that fascinates me is the Rock and Roll, but I also enjoy other styles like blues and MPB. I chose the Bachelor of Science and Technology because I want to be a Mechanical Engineer. I’m a very quiet and shy guy. My favorite hobbies are play RPG in lan house of my friend Kaio, listen music and see my friends. I live with my mother and my sister. My father lives in Natal because he works there, but he goes to Pedro Velho all weekends.

Adriana Benício

My name is Adriana Benício Galvão. I’m 19 years old and I was born in Natal, but nowadays I live in Parnamirim with my mother and my sister. I am sincere, observant, original and determined. Some people define me as a shy girl, calm and perfectionist. I value the friendship, humility, confidence and, above all things, I trust in God. I like to learn new things, to know new people and places, to go to the cinema, to walk, to travel, to listen to music, to play guitar and to practice some sport. Most of the songs that I listen are national and international pop rock. I think to make me happy don’t need so much: a calm moment and a simple conversation with somebody that I like are enough. I’d like to travel to Spain and Canada to improve my Spanish and English, and also to know the culture in these countries.
I’m often looking for my personal and professional progress. The main areas of knowledge that I am interested are Information Technology, Enterprising and Human Relationships. Today, I work as an Information Systems Programmer at a private company in Natal and I study Science and Technology at UFRN because I want to be a Computer Engineer.
